Carriage Occupancy

Each carriage can comfortably accommodate 4 adults, or 3 adults & 2 children under 12 years of age, or 2 adults & 4 children under 12 years of age.​

Following New York City regulations, carriages will not operate during the extreme weather conditions outlined below: 

  • In the winter when the air temperature is 18 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

  • In adverse storm, snow & ice conditions.

  • ​During the summer months if the air temperature is 90 degrees Fahrenheit or above, or if the air temperature combined with humidity reaches the equine heat index of 150 or above (ex. 80 degrees Fahrenheit + 70% humidity = 150 on the equine heat index)

  • Should these conditions occur, we can either reschedule your ride or give you a refund

Covid-19 Safety Measures

  • Each carriage is fully sanitized daily. After each ride seats are sanitized & sanitizer & wipes are available to all guests. Blankets will be washed daily & sprayed after each ride.

Prices, Cancellations & Refunds​​

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking time. If you arrive later than your scheduled booking, this time will automatically be deducted from your scheduled ride time.

  • For ride refunds or to reschedule you must cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of your booking.

  • Please note that our booking service charges a 6% booking fee plus a 1.9% + 30 cent credit card processing fee that will be billed directly to you in addition to the ride costs.

Same Day Cancellations & Refunds

  • A $25.00 fee will be charged for all same day cancellations.

  • A 75% refund will be given if you cancel within 2 hours before your booking time.

  •  Any cancellations made after the 2 hour grace period will not be refunded.

Same Day Rescheduling

  • You must reschedule your booking within 2 hours prior to your booking time.

  • Any rescheduled appointments after the 2 hour grace period will be considered a cancellation & all same day cancellation fees and policies will apply.

Top Hat NY Horse & Carriage Cancellations

  • The company may be forced to cancel a booking due to unforeseen park events & street closures. In this case we can reschedule your booking or provide a full refund.
